Teaching Observations

We are dedicated to helping educators continuously improve through personalized support. One of our most valuable services is teaching observation, available to all faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and instructional staff. This service provides an opportunity to receive constructive feedback on your teaching in a confidential, supportive, and collaborative environment.

What is a Teaching Observation?
A teaching observation involves having a trained consultant from our center visit your classroom (in-person or virtually) to observe your teaching and provide tailored and actionable feedback. This is not an evaluative process—it’s an opportunity to reflect on your teaching style, explore new strategies, and gain insights that can enhance your students’ learning experience.

Benefits of Scheduling a Teaching Observation

Personalized Feedback: Receive detailed feedback and recommendations on how to improve your teaching practices.

Non-Evaluative & Confidential: Our observations are meant to support your growth. The process is strictly non-evaluative, and all feedback remains confidential.

Gain Insight Into Student Engagement: Understand how students are responding to your teaching and identify ways to engage them further.

Improve Classroom Dynamics: Learn strategies to enhance classroom interactions, create an inclusive environment, and manage student participation.

Try New Techniques: Experiment with new teaching methods or technology and get feedback on how they impact student learning.
