Scheduling
Illinois faculty, instructors, and TAs can directly reserve the space for recordings. To reserve the studio, you must first complete an orientation with us. Please email citl-imr@illinois.edu and allow one day for our team to get in touch.
To book an appointment after your orientation:
The CITL Instructor Studio is set up as a room in Outlook Exchange. Permissions are enabled for faculty, instructors, and TAs to book the room within our hours of operation (9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday–Friday).
You can either:
- Add the room (CITL-Cal-Ar372A) to an appointment on your calendar, or
Add an appointment directly to the room calendar.
Best Practices
Avoid wearing shades of green. Clothing containing any green tones can interfere with the chroma keying process and cause issues with the final video.
Avoid wearing loud accessories. Necklaces, earrings, and watches can produce noise during recording that may be picked up by the microphone.
Avoid wearing tight patterns. Solid clothing is the best choice. Tight patterns can appear wavy.
